The weather is cooling off, the leaves are starting to turn and the holidays are approaching. This is the time of year that people start producing "reasons" to stop focusing on their health and fitness goals. I hear a lot of "I'm super busy" and "I just don't have time" and "I'll be out of town" amongst other things. I put "reasons" in quotes because I find that it's more often excuses rather than actual reasons.
The holidays are around the corner? Yay! We need to focus on staying on track and together we will navigate through the holidays and the abundance of foods, dessert and holiday treats.
You're super busy? I bet so. We all are. That's actually one of the things we help coach - balance - because it's part of your well-being. Let's work through those to-do lists together and figure out what has to be done, what can be delegated and what can wait.
"I'll be out of town" - Fun! You'll be eating while you're gone, right? Let's talk about how to stay on track when you're away from home.
Year after year, so many of us toss our goals aside, put them on "pause" and try to just survive the holiday season. And year after year, we gain weight, we're bloated, we feel awful and we take three steps backwards during the holiday season, then spend the majority of the next year scraping our way back to where we were before the holidays. Stick to your goals ALL year- your fitness, your nutrition, your habits that make you balanced and at peace. You can not only get through the holidays unscathed, but even make progress (and enjoy some of the treats while you do it)!
